Welcome to the Ink and Paint Folk podcast- a look at animation through the women and non-binary folk who make it!
Hosted by Kira Rodrigues and Cassie Soliday
Today’s guest is comic/story artist and full-time lecturer, Deda Daniels!
Deda grew up in Italy, studied in San Francisco, worked in Los Angeles, and now teaches in Singapore. While Deda is a retired storyboard and visual development artist, she is still deep in creative work with her comics and teaching young minds. She feels empowered to choose what she works on now- inspiration for us all! In today’s episode, she shares why there’s no such thing as art block, how she balances comics and teaching, how teaching inspires her to continue learning, how she used art to process grief, and more.
