Welcome to the Ink and Paint Folk podcast- a look at animation through the women and non-binary folk who make it!
Hosted by Cassie Soliday
Today’s guest is storyboard artist and director, Liza Singer!
Liza has worked across TV, feature, games, and, honestly, they've done a little of everything! From working at Warner Brothers on “Harley Quinn” and "DC Super Hero Girls" to "Disenchantment" at Rough Draft Studios, and even some preschool titles. But before all this, they got their start animating and illustrating for clients like Coca Cola, Prudential, and the Broadway Musical “Big Fish”. Today, Liza shares how they broke into animation, focused their storyboarding portfolio and skills, overcame a hand injury to continue doing what they love, and transitioned from storyboards into directing. So much to share today! Dive in when you're ready.
